Holmes Creek Baptist wants to make all our visitors feel at home, especially the little ones! Our childcare workers are carefully screened. Child care is provided for children from birth through age three during our regular services, special events, and other meetings as needed. Children's Church, age 3 through the 2nd grade, is offered during Sunday morning worship. Children In addition to Sunday School and Children's Church, several other exciting activities are offered for this age group. Wednesday evening, from August through May, children age 3 through 6th grade can participate in the AWANA Club. During Jun and July, special Children's Programs are offered. Throughout the year children can participate in a variety of activities including camps, children's choir, and Vacation Bible School. Youth Holmes Creek's youth ministry provides lots of opportunities for our young people to learn and grow in the love of Christ. On Wednesdays evenings, we have praise and worship with games and Bible study. We also have Sunday School programs with classes for all youth grades 6-12. Numerous other activities such as camps, special fellowships, mission projects, and Bible Study classes are offered throughout the year. Women Our First Ladies Ministry seeks to enrich the lives of women by offering encouragement, fellowship, and sharing Jesus Christ. The ladies meet the 3rd Monday of each month for a meal and inspirational program. First Ladies hosts an annual Women's Conference, Tables of Love and Lottie Moon Christmas Auctions. A class for single mothers is held twice a year. New Start for Single Moms is a ten-week class equiping single mothers to have a more secure future. A meal and child care are provided. Many other opportunities are available for women to grow in love and knowledge of the Lord.
Holmes Creek's Grace Group, adults 55+, is a very important part of our church. This lively group enjoys ministry and lots of fellowship together. Some of their other activities include monthly outings, field trips, luncheons, socials and ministering to each other. This group is young at heart and full of energy! Music God inhabits the praises of His people. Our desire is to "Make a joyful noise to the Lord" (Psalm 100:1). We strive to involve all people in the worship of our Lord and the celebration of His Name. Opportunities include Adult Choir, various ensembles, and Children's choir. Special musical events are presented throughout the year. Come join us as we worship His Name together through music! Media Center Our church library/media center is located in the old sanctuary and it is growing! We encourage and welcome its use! A nice selection of inspirational and educational books, CDs, DVDs, Bible reference materials, audio and video resources, teacher resources, and Bible studies are available for checkout.
The Holmes Creek Men's Ministry provides a program of ministry, fellowship and teaching. Its mission is to bring men into a right relationship with their Lord Jesus Christ, their family, their church and the world around them. Each year a community-wide Wild Game Feast is hosted. Throughout the year, opportunities include men's Bible studies, prayer breakfasts, and service projects. Missions Holmes Creek offers many opportunities to be actively involved in missions. We support missionaries by giving to the Cooperative program, Lottie Moon & Annie Armstrong missions, Maguire State missions as well as the Florida Baptist Children's Home. There are also opportunities to participate in short-term mission trips. In the past, members have participated in mission trips to Kenya, Peru and Kentucky. We have also been involved in disaster relief programs. Of course, everyone is encouraged to share the love of Christ as they "GO" through witness, word and deeds. Fellowship There are many activities throughout the year to participate in and enjoy Christian fellowship. Our Wednesday Evening Fellowship Meal is a great time to meet and get to know each other. The Annual Fall Festival provides a safe Christian alternative to Halloween. On Fifth Sunday nights we host a sing followed by fellowship and a meal. |
