Pastor- Travis Wilson
Pastor Travis Wilson was originally born in Southern Illinois (nowhere near Chicago!). He accepted Christ at eighteen years old and answered the call to ministry at twenty-eight years old.
Brother Travis (as he prefers to be called) is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps where he served around the world for seven years including in Iraq. He has a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Business Administration from the American Military University, a Master’s of Theological Studies from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Master’s of Divinity in Biblical Studies from Liberty University.
Brother Travis has served churches, full-time and bi-vocational, throughout the state of Illinois and in Florida over the past thirteen years. About two and a half years ago, he took a break to get spiritually refreshed and learn from different types and sizes of churches and pastors. Brother Travis has a heart for churches of all types and sizes, but especially feels compelled to develop healthy relationships and intentional discipleship in all churches.
Brother Travis has been married to Melissa (WCCS third grade teacher) now for twenty-one years. Together they have four boys: Ethan (Chipley Drum Captain) who is seventeen, Austin (Chipley Football and WCCS Basketball) who is fifteen, Greyson (Every sport imaginable) who is ten, and Gavin (Every sport imaginable) who is ten. Yes, the last two are twins (God has a sense of humor). They also have two small dogs: Oscar and Molly.
